Week of 26 October – 1 November 2026 · 27 reported Gold Coast auctions across 19 suburbs · preliminary realestate.com.au results, Saturday evening
Gold Coast auctions outperformed the rest of Queensland this week. 12 of the 27 Gold Coast auction results reported so far were sold, a clearance rate of 44.4 per cent, against 19 per cent across Queensland from 283 results. All 12 Gold Coast sales were made under the hammer and no Gold Coast auctions were recorded as withdrawn. Most of the 15 passed-in homes now move to negotiation with the highest bidder, and many of these campaigns end in a sale in the days after auction day.
The Gold Coast cleared more than twice the state rate. Queensland: 36 sold at auction, 14 before and 3 after, 184 passed in and 46 withdrawn, from 433 scheduled auctions.
Five further sales at Ashmore, Chevron Island, Currumbin Waters, Mermaid Beach and Southport were reported with prices withheld.

These are preliminary figures. Agents keep reporting results into Monday, so the Gold Coast count and clearance rate may change, and Cotality's preliminary Gold Coast figure for the same week is due on Sunday night. The Reserve Bank's cash rate decision on 3 November is the next big moment for buyer sentiment.
A Gold Coast clearance rate more than double the state figure shows real buyer depth for well-priced houses and quality coastal stock, from the $880,000 to $1 million range in the northern suburbs up to $4.5 million beachside. For buyers, the passed-in homes, especially the three Surfers Paradise apartments, offer room to negotiate after auction.
For sellers, realistic reserves based on recent local sales are getting results. This is general commentary, not financial advice.
